What do WSP, RRP and POR mean?
To save space on the page whilst giving you as much information as possible we have abbreviated some words on the website where they are industry recognised terms. These are WSP, RRP and POR.
WSP is an abbreviation of Wholesale Sales Price. Unless otherwise stated this is shown exclusive of VAT and where applicable VAT rates to be applied are shown alongside all product details.
RRP is an abbreviation of Recommended Retail Price. This is the per unit re-sell price that the manufacturer recommends for this product.
POR is an abbreviation of Profit on Return. This is the percentage margin you can make per unit if you re-sell the product at the recommended retail price (RRP).

How do you calculate the Profit on Return (POR)?
To calculate Profit on Return (POR) the following formula is used:
Sell Price - Cost Price = Profit
Profit / Sell Price x 100 = Profit on Return
The Sell price is the unit RRP multiplied by the total number of items in the case
The Cost price is the WSP including VAT
For example;
Product A has a WSP (inc. VAT) of £10.00. There are 20 units in a case with a RRP of 69p each
£13.80 - £10.00 = £3.80
£3.80 / £13.80 x 100 = 27.54%

What is Cheaper by the Case?
We sell some products in both cases and singles however you could save money on many of these lines if you buy a complete case rather than a single or quantity of singles, for example when a single item costs £1 and a case of 6 costs £5.
Where you would make significant long-term savings by trading up and buying cases we identify them as Cheaper by the Case products so that you can decide if you would prefer to buy a whole case before adding the product to your trolley.
