Method

    Coat the bacon rashers in the maple syrup, cover & leave to marinade overnight in a refrigerator.

    Grill the bacon well on parchment paper, until it starts to caramelise. Put aside to set

    Cook the burger as per the on pack instructions, top with cheese for the last 2 minutes of cooking

    Toast the bun, top the base with burger sauce, the lettuce, a slice of tomato & red onion & the burger

  5. 5

    Place the bacon rasher on top of the cheese, finish with the bun lid

  6. 6

    Fry the chips for 8-10 mins in hot oil. Drain well & tip on to paper to remove the excess oil. Sprinkle with a little salt.

    Secure the burger with a skewer if necessary & serve next to the chips
