For the brisket

Season the brisket well, place in a roasting tray with a little water & cover with tin foil & seal well all round

Place in an oven at 120C, leave to cook for 8-10 hours.

Once finished, remove from the oven & leave to rest for 3-4 hours

For the meal

Slice the brisket into 8oz steaks, reheat in a frying pan

Shred the cabbage & sweat off in a little butter

Heat the mashed potatoes as per the on pack instructions

Warm the demi glace in a microwave or small pan

Serve the brisket on the mashed potato with a jug of the demi glace
